How to Return

Returning with Dorsey is easy! You will need your order number and the email address associated with the order. To start the return, use the Returns Center. For gift returns, select "Start A Gift Return".

U.S. Returns

Start your return within 21 days of the fulfillment date to return for a refund. Otherwise, you may return within 45 days of the same date for exchange or store credit.

International Returns

Return within 30 days of the fulfillment date for refund or store credit only. First, initiate your return on the Returns Center. Next, purchase a shipping label through the carrier of your choice.

Refund Eligibility

All items must be returned in unworn, resellable condition and include all original packaging such as jewelry bags, tags, etc. Dorsey is not liable for lost returns.

Shipping Fees

Customers who select a refund versus an exchange or store credit will need to pay a shipping fee of $8.00 USD. Fees are non-refundable, and Dorsey does not cover the shipping cost for international returns.

U.S. DOMESTIC RETURNS

U.S. Domestic Returns

Visit our Returns Center to start your request! You’ll need the email address associated with the purchase, or order number and shipping zip code — your choice. If you're ready to start a return: please visit our Returns Center to initiate the return within our system. Next, continue reading below.
 
Items must be returned in the original mailer, a standard padded mailer size, or a small box no larger than 13 x 12 x 2. If using a box, please include packaging filler to prevent damage to the return item(s) while in-transit. Print the attached return label, or show the QR code if provided. Pack all return items inside the package, and bring it to the carrier. All return packages must include original jewelry boxes, tags, etc. to be eligible for a refund, exchange, or store credit. All items are inspected for damage or wear. Returns are processed within 7-10 business days after delivery, not including weekends or holidays. Do not ship multiple return orders in the same package. Every order must be submitted separately for return.
 
Please note that Facebook and Instagram orders cannot be returned using the online return portal. Contact customer service for assistance with a manual return label.

Depending on your refund preference, the return or exchange request may not be accepted if it goes beyond the return or exchange window timeframe. If any return or exchange item is found with signs of wear or without original packaging included - you may be ineligible for a refund or store credit.

- Dorsey Fine Jewelry returns are eligible for refunds but require special shipping and insurance due to the valuable materials involved. Contact customer service for more information or visit this page.

- Dorsey IDs are final sale & non-returnable (with or without an engraving).

- Dorsey is not liable for any return packages shipped that become lost in transit.

- Dorsey is unable to issue a refund for any return items that cannot be confirmed as received by our Returns Department.

- All Custom by Dorsey pieces or made-to-order styles are eligible for store credit only.

- Shipping costs and return shipping fees are non-refundable.

Damaged/Incorrect Items

If an item within your order arrives damaged, or you received the wrong item(s), send an email to VIP@shopdorsey.com to report the issue ASAP.

As a next step, you'll be asked to provide photos and/or videos of the issue being experienced. If you return the item to our warehouse without reporting the issue first - you may be ineligible for a refund or store credit.

Fine Jewelry / 14k Gold Returns

Our 14k and lab-grown pieces may require special shipping and insurance due to the valuable materials involved. To arrange the return shipment, contact our Customer Service team at VIP@shopdorsey.com. They will be delighted to assist you with the necessary arrangements! Processing Time
 
Your return will be processed within 7 to 10 business days (not including weekends or holidays) from the time we receive it in our warehouse. Once your return is processed, we will send you confirmation via email!
 
Please note: Dorsey is not liable for any return packages shipped that become lost in transit. Please note that Dorsey does not cover the shipping cost for international returns, nor do we offer direct international exchanges at this time. You will need to purchase your own shipping return label through the carrier of your own choosing after initiating the return on our Returns Center. In addition to this, Dorsey does not currently offer exchanges for International orders or returns. Please note that the return request may not be accepted if the request is made beyond the return window timeframe. If any return item is found with signs of wear or without original packaging included - you may be ineligible for a refund or store credit.

How to Ship Your Item(s)
 
1. Securely pack items in the original packaging (items not in original packaging are not eligible for return/exchange).
2. Be sure to print and include the return packing slip.
3. Mail your package (using your carrier of choice) to the return address stated above.
4. We'll issue your refund, gift card, or exchange once we receive your return, within 7 to 10 business days.

Shipping Costs
 
Outbound shipping fees for international returns are non-refundable. We are unable to waive the cost of international taxes, duties, and customs fees as these are remitted to the government in your local area.
 
Processing Time

How to Exchange with Dorsey

Visit our Returns Center to start your request! You’ll need the email address associated with the purchase, or order number and shipping zip code — your choice. Please note that Dorsey does not currently offer exchanges for International orders or returns.

Exchange Policy

Exchanges and returns for store credit are always free of charge and include return shipping costs. Enjoy hassle-free exchanges and returns for store credit within 45 days from the order fulfillment date. Customers who opt-in for a monetary refund versus an exchange or store credit will pay a return shipping fee of $8.00 USD, which will be automatically deducted from their refund total. This fee helps us cover the costs of shipping and costs associated with processing returns. We want to emphasize that this returns fee only applies to refunds requested in the form of a direct refund to your original payment method. If you opt for store credit or an exchange, the returns fee will be waived.
 
Depending on your refund preference, the return or exchange request may not be accepted if the request surpasses the return or exchange window timeframe. Additionally, if any return or exchange item is found with signs of wear or without original packaging included - you may be ineligible for a refund or store credit.
 
How to Start an Instant Exchange Request
 

During the online return center process, follow the prompts regarding your return item and select Instant Exchange for a chance to instantly shop and exchange your item for another one that is purchaseable on our website, in your desired size or style.

When you have selected your exchange item, you will be prompted to add your credit card information. Next, you will receive step-by-step instructions and a prepaid shipping label during the process, which is sent to your email.

IMPORTANT If the return item is not marked as "in-transit" within the return window for your exchange, Dorsey will charge the card the full cost of the exchanged item. Customers will be sent a reminder email to return their merchandise to avoid being charged.

Fine Jewelry / 14k Gold Returns

CAN I GET A REFUND FOR MY RETURN?

Per our Return & Exchange policy, we accept returns up to 21 days after your item has been fulfilled to receive a monetary refund back to the original form of payment. Please note that customers who opt-in for a monetary refund versus an exchange or store credit will pay a return shipping fee of $8.00 USD, which will be automatically deducted from their refund total. This fee is non-refundable.

Additionally, items must be returned in resellable condition with original packaging. Any items returned worn, damaged, or without packaging may not be eligible for a refund.

Here's some tips to ensure your return is eligible for a refund:

- Include original packaging including boxes, sticker tags, and bags shipped with the item.

- When trying on your jewelry, make sure your skin is clean and free of lotions and oils.

- Try your jewelry on over carpet and in a place where the piece cannot fall and break easily.

- Make sure your item is returned unworn, without wear and in resellable condition.

- Do not try on or wear your jewelry on for extended periods of time.

- Do not expose the jewelry to moisture, water or wet activities.

- Do not ship your return back to Dorsey outside of the return or exchange window.

- Do not ship your return back without using Dorsey's Returns Center.

- Do not ship multiple orders within the same return package.

WHAT ITEMS ARE FINAL SALE?

All made-to-order items including all rings, the Custom Style collection and the Dorsey ID tag collection are considered final sale.

Due to the nature of Dorsey IDs, these pieces are not eligible for store credit or a refund, whether or not the item includes an engraving. Additionally, custom and made-to-order pieces are only eligible for exchange or store credit and are not eligible for a refund.

SOMETHING NOT QUITE RIGHT?

If an item within your order arrived damaged or you received the wrong item(s), send an email to VIP@shopdorsey.com and report the issue ASAP. You can also contact us here.

Customers should NOT return damaged, defective, or incorrect items through the Return Center without first reporting the issue to customer service for assistance.

You will be asked to provide photos and/or videos of the issue. If you choose to return the item without working with Dorsey's customer service team - you may be found ineligible for a refund or store credit.

POLICY RESTRICTIONS

Dorsey reserves the right to solely define and limit, refuse, and/or reject returns from customers at any time due to:

- An irregular or excessive returns history involving worn, altered, laundered, damaged, or missing items; or

- Potential fraudulent or criminal activity.

Additional policy restrictions:

- Dorsey reserves the right to delay a refund based on concerns surrounding potential fraud.

- Dorsey reserves the right to refuse service to any customer or entity, due to similar actions as noted above.

- Dorsey is unable to issue a refund for any return items that cannot be confirmed as received by our Returns Department.

- Non-Dorsey items sent to our warehouse distribution center will be discarded upon receipt.
